IT Republic supported the investment house Vontobel in developing their e-banking solution and integrating a new CRM tool into the application landscape.
 

E-Banking
 

In the area of e-banking, IT Republic was commissioned to operate and continuously develop the existing solution. Technologies such as Angular and Spring Boot were used. The e-banking solution included a web application for desktop clients as well as mobile apps for iOS and Android. Additionally, an app was provided that enabled two-factor authentication for login. In this context, the integration of the core banking platform, and the migrating to OpenShift posed a significant challenge.
 

Customer Relationship Management
 

One of the challenges faced in this project was to make sure data was kept synchronously in parallel running systems during a transitional phase. IT Republic provided support in building the integration solution to address this. Data integration was done via Apache Kafka. An adapter component implemented using Kotlin Spring Boot ensured that the data between the systems was synchronized and translated into the respective data formats. The data was thus exchanged between the systems in real time. For example, if a relationship manager entered a customer in the new CRM solution, the update also appeared in the old system within seconds.
