IT Republic supports the investment house Vontobel in the development of its e-banking solution and the integration of a new CRM tool into the application landscape.

E-banking

In the area of e-banking, IT Republic has been commissioned to operate and continuously develop the existing solution. Technologies such as Angular and Spring Boot are used. The
e-banking solution includes a web application for desktop clients and mobile apps for iOS and Android. In addition, an app is provided that enables 2-factor authentication for login. In this context, the integration of the core banking platform, and the migration to OpenShift pose a particular challenge.

Customer Relationship Management

Vontobel is currently renovating parts of the CRM system landscape. One of the challenges faced in this project is to make sure data is kept synchronously in parallel running systems during a transitions phase. IT Republic is providing support in building the integration solution to address this. Data integration is done via Apache Kafka. An adapter component implemented using Kotlin Spring Boot ensures that the data between the systems is synchronized and translated into the respective data formats. The data is thus exchanged between the systems in real time. For example, if a relationship manager enters a customer in the new CRM solution, the update also appears in the old system within seconds.
